At Seed, we believe coffee growers should be paid well for the coffee we enjoy every day. We partner with Café Kreyol to ensure farmers are paid more than a living wage, are supported through co-ops and training to grow their business and are able to reinvest in their farms and their families. We believe that coffee can and should be used for good.

It takes 25 million smallholders to produce the coffee that you drink. But most of them aren’t making a living income. The average coffee grower is paid under $1.00/lb. for their coffee. Even Fair-trade standards, which are around $1.40/lb. are still below a living wage for a farmer and their family.

Where and how you get your coffee, and how much you are willing to spend on it impacts the livelihood of coffee growers. When you buy coffee at Seed, you can be sure you are supporting fair pay for farmers around the world.
